about

Remastered Edition 2014.

"MAY BE HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH WHILE SKY DIVING..."

One world, one human race…

UPC, Universal Peace Collective (or UP Collective as it is also known), took shape in the French Alps as an INSTRUMENTAL SIDE PROJECT while james (of JAMESPARKER) toured the area in the spring of 2004.

"Surrounded by majestic mountains and pristine glaciers, I began creating soundscapes reflective of my environment, ultimately refining a concept whose objective became to fuse cultural diversity and spiritual influences from around the world."

"The end result can best be summed up as an experiment involving Seven Continents and Two Hemispheres converging over occasionally chilled-out ambient vibes or more frenetic beats."

"I've often envisioned this record as a soundtrack to modern dance awaiting proper choreography... or to the winter Olympics, why not"

A journey through New Zealand as this project neared completion certainly had an influence on the outcome of this disc as “Aroha”, title track of the album, means Love in Te Reo, the rich, indigenous language of the Maori people of Aotearoa…

“There is NO distinction between YOU and the ENVIRONMENT baby…” ™

James is a former Outreach and Fundraising program director for Greenpeace Canada, has worked on behalf of Greenpeace International, Amnesty International and MSF (Doctors Without Borders), is a founding member of JAMESPARKER, and is a member of European artist collective ADJOLOLO SYSTEM (France).

“WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR WORLD, YOU CHANGE THE WORLD…” ™
Love.

Please support your local Greenpeace, Amnesty International and/or MSF chapter if at all possible… Best, j.
